Severe Weather Outlook
A couple of fronts are expected to move across the North Island during
the weekend, with a low developing over or near the northern North Island
late Saturday or Sunday. At this stage there is quite a lot of uncertainty
regarding the development of this low, but it may bring some heavy rain
and/or strong winds to parts of the North Island.

VOTING SERVICES UPDATE
NZ Post status report below:
• The machine team at Auckland Mail Centre have worked extremely hard and pushed through the vast
majority of the final 3 electorates that were late – Epsom, Mt Albert and Papakura. Most of the
delivery crews in these areas should have received most of their EasyVote packs to deliver. If not
today, then tomorrow.
• Expect the last mail to be in branch by Monday for all electorates, with small pockets of mail still
working its way through the network via returns that have been made to the Electoral Commission
for damage repairs, normal redirections after delivery and other small pockets of mail that will come
back through the mail centres to be resent out.
• Initial expectation of 35k to still be delivered on Tuesday 10th will be much lower than that, as the
team have just processed all available mail until they had to stop to meet transport dispatches.

recruitment for Voting Services, so as expected. There were a small number of User Access requests
and Mobile Connectivity issues, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the self-service Password
reset processes and field communications (even better news).
