How were the NZ delegation to Japan in June 2024 chosen? Please provide any criteria that 
was used and/or considered. 

This response is for information held by the Ministry. For information held by New Zealand Trade

The Ministry works with Te Matatini to identify kapa haka representatives for Prime Minister-led 
delegations.  Selection is based on the purpose, priorities, and objectives of the mission.
