You requested the fol owing:
al correspondence with Stefan Sunde (Sunde is a member of the National party
board of directors) al correspondence mentioning Stefan Sunde or "Stefan"
Plus, al correspondence about EY (Ernst & Young or Ernst and Young)
including:
any mention of their 'scandal'
'secret drinking club'
'PR nightmare'

I have decided to release the relevant parts of the document listed above, subject to
information being withheld under section 9(2)(g)(i ) of the OIA, to maintain the effective
conduct of public affairs through protecting Ministers, members of government
organisations, officers and employees from improper pressure or harassment.
Some information has been redacted because it is not covered by the scope of your
request. This is because the information was sent and received in my capacity as a
member of the National Party and not my Ministerial capacity. Therefore, it is not
‘official information’.
In addition, I received an email from Hamish Campbel , MP from Ilam, regarding two
events. This email contained a list of attendees which included Stefan Sunde.
Therefore, it was determined this email was not in scope of the request.
I have not received any correspondence about EY (Ernst & Young or Ernst and Young)
including any mention of 'scandal', 'secret drinking club', 'PR nightmare' or 'sexual
harassment'. Therefore, this part of your request is refused under section 18(e) of the
OIA, as the document al eged to contain the information requested does not exists or
despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
This reply addresses the information you requested. You have the right to ask the
Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision.
