On 21 July 2024 you asked for information about expenditure on boat ramps. Here is our
response to your questions:
I am writing to request information regarding three boat ramps in Tauranga.
1. Sulphur Point
2. Whareroa
3. Pilot bay
I have two requests:
1. I would like total expenditure for the past ten years grouped by year please.
Please see the table below and the explanation that follows.

We cannot separate the total expenditure of the three boat ramps you identified from
the total expenditure across all council boat ramps.
We can provide the expenditure on renewals, repairs and maintenance for the
three boat ramps. These figures are included in the column headed ‘Boat ramp
maintenance’. All capital figures are included in these costs. This is not the total
expenditure on those boat ramps.
There are also electricity, depreciation, and overhead costs. These are included
in the column headed ‘Additional costs’. Additional expenditure covers all council
boat ramps, not just the three you identified. We cannot separate these costs by
individual boat ramps. We have not included loan interest in these figures as this
applies across our Marine Facilities activity.
2. For the past year 2023-2024 I would like
- a detailed breakdown of itemised expediture across these three boat ramps
including - names of contractor companies who provided any services
