Thank you for your request of 23 July 2024 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities for the following 
information under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
We believe a heritage report was completed (possibly by Russell Murray) around 2012 that 
included a maintenance assessment of the Gordon Wilson Flats structure. 
We also believe Beca was commissioned to complete a structural assessment of the 
Gordon Wilson Flats around this time. 
Could we please see these reports and any other structural and maintenance reports completed 
on the Gordon Wilson Flats completed between 2000 up to the time when the building was 
divested. 
 
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days (20 
August 2024) after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil  not be possible to meet that 
time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision 
under section15A(1)(b) of the Act, to 5 September 2024 (12 working days). 
 
This extension is required as consultations necessary to decide on your request are such that a proper 
response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of my decision on your
