Thank you for your email via the FYI website of 4 August 2024 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) requesting the following information:

1) I wish to inquire about current funding allocations for public schools and universities, including any recent changes in budget or policy.

2) I am also requesting information on the implementation and outcomes of remote learning initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).

Both parts of your request are broad in nature and lack due particularity. As they are currently worded, both parts of your request would include all information relating to current funding allocations for public schools and universities as well as the implementation and outcomes of remote learning initiatives which would require a substantial amount of time to collate. As such, it is likely that your request would be refused under section 18(f) of the Act, as the information requested cannot be made available without substantial collation or research.
