Request for information 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 8 August 2024. You 
requested: 
 
Under the OIA please provide all communications if any, from Labour MP 
Shanan Halbert to Police regarding organising a visit to Albany Police station 
or any other Police station in Auckland between January 2024 and August 
2024. 
This should include but not be limited to texts, emails, phone calls etc. 
 
Please be advised that no communication or request to visit the station has been 
received from MP Shanan Halbert for the Albany Police station and any police station in 
Auckland for the period of January to August 2024.Therefore, your request is refused 
under section 18(e) of the OIA, as the document alleged to contain the information 
requested does not exist.  
 
Please note that as part of its commitment to openness and transparency, Police 
proactively releases some information and documents that may be of interest to the 
public. An anonymised version of this response may be publicly released on the New 
Zealand Police website.
