We refer to your email dated 15 September 2024 for: 
I would like to request who was contracted to carry out the pedestrian 
crossing upgrade on Major Drive, Kelson, how long it took to complete and 
the cost to ratepayers. 
Response: 
John Fil more Contracting Limited was engaged by Hutt City Council to carry out 
the construction of this project. The work commenced on 13 May  2024  and was 
completed on 9 July 2024. The precise cost is withheld under section 7(2)(b)(i ) of 
the Act, as withholding the information is necessary to protect information where 
the making available of the information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice 
the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the 
information.
