Thank you for your request for information dated 25 September 2024 regarding any 
incentivisation associated with our Transport and Parking Officers. 
1.Do you currently employ (or have employed one with in the past 5 years) an 
incentive mechanism for enforcement officers in any one of your enforcement remits 
(e.g. parking, special vehicle lane infringements etc.), WHERE the higher the number 
OR the higher the dol ar value of infringements issued by a given officer, would THEN 
result in a higher monetary payout/incentive/reward/voucher either direct/indirect for 
the said enforcement officer ?
No, Auckland Transport’s (AT) Transport and Parking Officers are not offered any monetary, 
nor non-monetary incentives, bonus schemes, or rewards based off their issuance of 
infringements. 
2. Related to above are there any NON-monetary incentives direct/indirect that is pro 
rata to the number/dollar value of the infringements issued by an enforcement 
officer?
Please refer to our response in question 1. The same applies for non-monetary incentives, 
or alike, as advised above. 
Should you believe that we have not dealt with your request appropriately, you are able to 
make a complaint to the Of ice of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 27(3) of the 
LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
