Thank you for your email on 30 September 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora
for the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I am seeking historical data relating to these five targets, preferably going back at least
the last ten years. So specifically:
1) What % of of people accessed specialist mental health and addiction services within
three weeks
2) What % of people accessing primary mental health and addiction services through
the Access and Choice programme were seen within one week
3) What % of mental health and addiction-related emergency department
presentations were admitted, discharged, or transferred from an emergency
department within six hours
4) How many mental health and addiction professionals were trained each year
5) The % of mental health and addiction investment allocated/spent on prevention and
early intervention

I apologise for the delay in providing our response. The time taken is not what we aspire to.
This is something we are working to get on top of as we deal with a high volume of requests
and the understandably high public interest in our work.
Your request for this information is refused under section 18(d) of the Act on the basis that the
information requested will soon be publicly available on Health NZ website. We expect this to
be publicly released by end of this month.
