Your request for official information, reference: HNZ00067182
Thank you for your email on 1 October 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for
the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please provide the following information on the North Shore Hospital Marae New Build
Project:
- whether the project has been fully completed and if not at what stage it is currently at
- how much money has been spent on the project so far
- how much more money is projected to be spent on the project.
Response
For the sake of clarity, I wil address each question in turn.
whether the project has been fully completed and if not at what stage it is currently at
This project is not complete. Its design has been completed however the project is currently
on hold.
how much money has been spent on the project so far
A total of $1.57m has been spent on this project. The total spend included detailed business
case costs, detailed design, full QS costing, precinct master planning and early contractor
involvement costs.
Please note that due to the Heath New Zealand reset, many projects that can feasibly be
paused due to their particular project lifecycle stage, have had to be paused. Particularly
where a full build is not contractually committed. The project and its total cost wil be
considered as part of Health New Zealand’s future pipeline of infrastructure investment.
how much more money is projected to be spent on the project.
There is currently no money that is projected to be spent as the project is on hold.
