Thank you for your email of 3 October 2024 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities, requesting the 
following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
“I am writing to request copies of the sections titled "5. Upcoming advice to be delivered in the next 
month" and "8. Upcoming completed homes opportunities" from the weekly reports issued in May 
and June. 
While I understand these reports have been proactively released, I believe that the redactions may 
warrant reconsideration due to the time elapsed since their initial release addresses are being 
reassessed?” 
I have considered your request under the Act and can advise you that a decision has been made regarding 
your questions. 
 
Kāinga Ora has decided to provide you with the information requested. However, we need more time to 
prepare it for release. Please note that some of the information requested wil  be withheld under the following 
sections of the Act: 
 
•  Section 9(2)(a), ‘to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural 
persons’. In making my decision, I have considered the public interest pursuant to section 9(1) of the 
Act. I do not consider the withholding of the information from this response is outweighed by public 
interest considerations in making that information available. 
 
•  Section 9(2)(f)(iv) “the confidentiality of advice tendered by Ministers of the Crown and officials” In 
making my decision, I have considered the public interest pursuant to section 9(1) of the Act. I do not 
consider the withholding of the information from this response is outweighed by public interest 
considerations in making that information available. 
 
I expect to provide you with a ful  response no later than 19 December 2024. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response. Information
