Thank you for your email of 19 October 2024 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the 
Council) requesting the following information: 
 
•  I welcome the Wellington City Council to provide the latest reports and analyses into 
homelessness in the Wellington City. 
 
And the latest proposals and effective plans to tackle it. 
 
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA).  
 
At the 23 November 2023 Social, Cultural and Economic Committee hui, the Council presented a 
report from FrankAdvice that reviewed the effectiveness of our response and investment in 
responding to homelessness. The Council also amended the Housing Action Plan to add an additional 
six actions to strengthen our response. You can find a copy of this information on our website, here. 
 
Subsequent reporting on these actions has been included in the Housing Action Plan report provided 
to the Environment and Infrastructure committee on 1 August 2024. You can find a copy of this 
information on our website, here.  
 
A further update is planned for December 2024.  
 
As the information is already available on our website, I am refusing this request pursuant to section 
17(d) of the LGOIMA, as the information requested is or wil  soon be publicly available.  
  
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(1) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s decision to refuse information by the Ombudsman.
