Official Information Act request: Communications 
Thank you for your email of 25 October 2024, in which you requested, under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act),  communications. Specifically, you requested: 
I request all communications in any form sent or received by you,  your staff 
including departmental seconded,  and anyone else in relationship to your 
media release entitled "Labour's misleading information is disappointing" 
dated 11 September 2024. 
In response to your request please refer to the document pack which includes text 
messages between ministerial staff from 11 September 2024. Please note, some 
information has been removed as it is out of scope of your request, and some 
withheld under the following provisions of the Act: 
• section 9(2)(a) to protect privacy of natural persons
• section 9(2)(g)(i) to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the
free and frank expression of opinions
In withholding information under sections 9(2)(a) and (2)(g)(i), I have considered the 
public interest and do not consider it outweighs withholding the information at this 
time.
