Thank you for your email dated 29 October 2024 requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 
(the Act), the following information: 
 
1) Are you seeking foreign investment in waste incinerators-  or Waste to Energy plants. 
2) With Project Kea on the Fast track list, and no appetite by councils to send their waste to 
SIRRLs Waimate incinerator, is there consideration for the importation of waste to feed the 
plant? 
3) Please provide copies of all communications between SIRRL, Renew energy & China 
Tianying Ltd. 
4) Please provide copies of all communication between Keppel Seghers. 
5) Please provide copies of all communication with Grace FU Hai Yien. 
6) Please provide copies of all communication with Craig Jepson, regarding Waste to Energy. 
Please find below the response to your request: 
 
1. There is no specific proposal or initiative seeking foreign investment into waste incinerators or 
waste to energy plants.  
2. At this stage there is no consideration for importing waste to feed the plant.  
3-6. There is no correspondence with the named parties that falls within scope of your request. I am 
therefore refusing your request for copies of this correspondence under section 18(e) of the Act, as 
the document alleged to contain the information requested does not exist or, despite reasonable 
efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
