I refer to your official information request dated 30 October 2024 where you asked for

The New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties requests:
1. the titles of these documents; and
2. a copy of both these documents.
The Council also requests:
3. copies of al other advice provided by the Commission to the Minister for the Public Service
about the Open Government Partnership since 23 November 2023, including but not limited
to the Commission’s advice to the Minister about responding to the joint letter to the Minister
from civil society organisations dated 13 May 2024 and the draft response letter that it
provided to the Minister

Partnership discussed, the notes taken by Commission officials at or after any meeting with
the Minister that relate to that part of the meeting; and

6. al internal memoranda, advice or briefings on (i) membership of the Open Government
Partnership, (i ) creation of a multi-stakeholder forum, (i i) creation of the fifth National Action
Plan.”.
The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day that we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil not
be possible to meet that time limit and we are, therefore, writing to notify you of an extension of
the time to make our decision, to 18 December 2024.
This extension is necessary because your request necessitates consultations needed to make a
decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.
We wil keep you updated on the progress of our response to your request.
