We refer to your email dated 14 November 2024 requesting information under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). The response to your request is set out below.   
  
Request: I request al  internal communications discussing the Treaty Principles Bill and 
“Hikoi” including emails, WhatsApp messages, signal messages, texts, summaries of 
cal s, meeting notes, actions and agendas. Between 1 July 2024 and 14 November 2024. 
  
Response:  TVNZ had 601 FTE employees in FY24  per  its publicly available Annual 
Report. To answer your request, TVNZ would need to search all the specified 
communication channels for each of those employees over the specified time period. 
Clearly,  we  are unable to retrieve the responsive information without substantial 
collation or research. Your request is therefore declined in accordance with section 
18(f) of the Act.  
  
If  there is something specific you require,  please  set out the information you are 
requesting with due particularity in accordance with section 12(2) of the Act (e.g. TVNZ 
communications to employees on annual leave policy).  
  
Please note that section 28 of the Act sets out the circumstances in which you may 
make a complaint to the Ombudsman in order to seek an investigation and review of 
this decision.
