Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on  2 December 
2024. You requested: 
 
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, 
 
How.many 501s are dead from suicide from your targeted individual program?

We wrote to you on 4 December 2024, seeking clarification of your request. Without further 
information on what you are referring to by a targeted individual programme, the Department 
of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) is unable to progress your request.  
 
As  such,  I  am  refusing  your  request  under  section  18(e)  of  the  Act,  as  the  requested 
information does not exist.  
 
The New Zealand Police has published some statistics that you may be interested in,  which 
are  available  here:    https://www.police.govt.nz/about-us/statistics-and-publications/data-and-
statistics/deportees-from-australia 
 
You  have  the  right  to  ask  the  Ombudsman  to  investigate  and  review  my  decision  under 
section 28(3) of the Act. 
 
We  do  not  intend  to  publish  this  response  on  the  Department  of  the  Prime  Minister  and
