Tēnā koe Matt
Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Department of Conservation,
received on 02 December 2024 in which you asked for:
‘Al emails sent and received between DOC and Pure Turoa Managers or Directors
for three months September to November 2024.’
This letter is to advise you that we are extending the 20 working day period to respond to
your request, as allowed under section 15A(1) of the Official Information Act 1982. We
require an additional 15 days to respond to your request. We wil send you a response no
later than 12 February 2025, earlier if possible.
The extension of time is necessary as the consultations necessary to make a decision on the
request mean that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.
Please note that this extension takes into account the period from 25 December 2024 to 15
January 2025 (inclusive) which does not count as ‘working days’, as set out in section 2(1) of
the Official Information Act 1982. For further information please refer to: Ombudsman New
Zealand | Tari o te Kaitiaki Mana Tangata
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act to make a complaint to
an Ombudsman about the extension.
If you wish to discuss this response to your request, please contact
[email address].
