Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry of 
Health – Manatū Hauora (the Ministry) on 24 January 2025 for information regarding Pfizer 
vaccine adverse side effects. You requested:  
“Please can you supply information on how many adverse side effects or deaths from 
batch number EP9605 and batch ET3045-014” 
Your request is refused under section 18(g)(i) of the Act as the information requested is not held 
by the Ministry and there are no grounds for believing it is held by another agency subject to the 
Act. The Ministry only holds information related to batch numbers when the batch number is 
reported as part of the adverse event following immunisation (AEFI) report. Not all adverse 
events following immunisation represent side effects and not all side effects are reported.
