Appointment to the Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures Investment Advisory Panel
I am pleased to invite you to accept my offer of appointment to become a member of the
Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures (SFF Futures) Investment Advisory Panel (the Panel).
SFF Futures funds innovative projects that will create more value from our food and fibre
industries, which cover pastoral and arable production, horticulture, seafood, forestry and
wood products, and food processing.
The Panel plays a central role in the success of SFF Futures. As a Panel member, your core

function is to assess proposals against the SFF Futures criteria, and to recommend to the
Ministry for Primary Industries which programmes should receive government funding. I also
expect you will play a significant role in raising awareness of SFF Futures and encouraging co-
investor groups to put forward high-quality proposals, as well as advising MPI on the
monitoring and performance of current programmes.

The term of your appointment is for a period of three years from 1 November 2021 to 31
October 2024. The remuneration for this appointment is $1,000 per day up to a maximum 45
days per annum.
