Thank you for your email, received on 30 January 2025, to Oranga Tamariki—Ministry
for Children (Oranga Tamariki) requesting information around fast food purchased for
residents at Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice facility. Your request has been considered
under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
You have requested:
I request all information regarding any purchases of fast food, including receipts
(McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, KFC, etc) for any residents of Korowai
Manaaki at Wiri between 30 December 2024 and 2 January 2025.
I can confirm that there were no takeaways purchased by Oranga Tamariki for the
residents at the Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice facility on those dates.
As  such,  your  request  has  been  refused  under  section  18(e)  of the Act as this
information does not exist.
Oranga Tamariki may make the information contained in this letter available to the
public by publishing this on our website with your personal details removed.
