I am responding to your email of 31 January 2025 to the Department of Internal Affairs (the
Department) requesting the fol owing under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I noted, you have recently call for nomination for your Water Services Authority -
Taumata Arowai Board
May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for
public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. Also, how many applications you have
received from the public and how many you have received from other nominating
agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you have
shortlisted and how many you have interviewed in this recruitment round. May I also
seek a copy of the ad went out to public.
Response to your request
Calls for nominations for the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai Board were made
on the Department of Internal of Affairs’ website from 19 December 2024 to 31 January
2025. Nominations were also sought from the three coalition parties during this time.
Calls for nominations are made at
www.dia.govt.nz/Appointments-to-Statutory-Bodies,
where you can find further, detailed information about appointments to statutory bodies.
There were 19 nominations received, with one of these being from the Ministry for Ethnic
Communities.
Shortlisting has not yet taken place; therefore, the interview process has not begun. This
part of your request is refused under 18(e) of the Act, as the information does not exist.
