Thank  you  for  contacting  Auckland  Transport  on  29  July  2015,  requesting  information  regarding  the  bus  lane 
located on Vincent Street, Auckland City. 
 
In response to your request under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 please find 
attached a copy of the resolution report that formally approved the implementation of a bus lane on the western 
side of Vincent Street. 
 
In response to your specific questions: 
 
Auckland  Transport  does  not  hold  information  detailing  the  specific  date  that  the  bus  lane  came  into  force, 
however, this would have likely been when the required signs and markings were put in place which is expected 
to have been sometime shortly after the formal decision to approve the bus lane. 
 
The formal date of approval of the bus lane was 30 January 2009. 
 
The  formal  decision  to  approve  this  bus  lane  was  made  by  the  Transport  Resolutions  Sub-Committee  of  the 
previous Auckland City Council. 
 
I trust this information has addressed the matters raised however you have the right in  accordance with section 
27(3) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the 
Office of the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with our response.
