Thank you for your Official Information Act (OIA) request, received on 3 March 2025.
You requested:
1. How many OIAs has your Office received between January 1 2024 and
September
31 2024? Can you please note how many of those were transferred from other
departments, agencies, or Ministers?
2. What was the average number of days taken to respond to requests?
3. How many requests have been extended?
4. How many requests have been responded to after 20 days? Can you please
note how many of those were not extended?
5. How many requests do you have that are overdue as of the date of this
request?
(i.e. have not been extended but have not been responded to in the statutory 20
days from receipt).
Part 1
Between 1 January and 30 September 2024, I received 221 OIA requests.
On 11 March 2025, the Treasury contacted you on my behalf to refine the scope of the
part of your request for the number of OIA requests transferred to me. You have not
responded to this request. Therefore, I have decided to refuse the part of the request
for the number of OIA requests transferred to me under section 18(f) of the OIA, as
substantial manual col ation would be required to provide the information requested.

Between 1 January and 30 September 2024, I extended 54 OIA requests.
Part 4
My office does not keep a record of the number of working days it takes to respond to
OIA requests that cover multiple portfolios or are Finance specific. I am therefore
refusing this part of your request under section 18(e) of the OIA, on the grounds that
the requested information does not exist.

Part 5
As at 3 March 2025, there was one overdue OIA response.
This reply addresses the information you requested. Under section 28(3) of the OIA,
you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any decisions made under this
