Please provide all evidence you or your office hold relating to public service
appointments not being appointed on merit - including any examples.
Based on the comment by the Prime Minister, I would expect there to be
specific examples, not just anecdotes.
This office does not hold any official information relevant to your request. Accordingly, your
request is refused under section 18(e) of the Act on the basis that the requested information
does not exist.
In the article you referenced in your request, the Prime Minister was responding to media
queries relating to comments made by NZ First.
