Thank you for your correspondence of 23 March 2025 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment (MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

A weekly breakdown of the number of skil ed migrant applications that have been allocated to
a case officer since Jan 2024 to date (non-priority and priority applications)

A weekly breakdown of the number of skil ed residence applications completed since Jan 2024
to date

A monthly breakdown of the number of applications that are stil awaiting allocation to an
Immigration Officer since Jan 2024 to date by the date of lodgment.

Number of case officers working on skil ed migrant visa applications (priority and non-priority)

The oldest skil ed migrant residence visa application in the system and it's status.

How many skil ed migrant residence visa you are currently have on hand?
I am writing to advise you that MBIE has decided to extend the period of time available to make a decision
on your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a decision on your
request are such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit.
As such, a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. MBIE will notify you
of a decision on your request no later than 13 May 2025.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of our decision to extend the
