  OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 25.243
  I refer to the Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 26 March 2025 for information relating to
average GPA and students in Engineering. You have specifical y requested:
•  The average GPA and the number of students graduating in each class of honours from the 2024
graduating class for each engineering discipline.
  We requested some clarification around scope and classifications, and you responded:

•  Could the breakdown please be by both specialisation and the class of honours.
E.g. for each specialisation:
First Class: [Number of Students]
Second Class, First Division: [Number of Students] Second Class, Second Division: [Number of
Students] Third Class: [Number of Students]

Please find attached your requested information. Note that where there are five or less students in a
particular category, the actual number is not provided, rather a range of less than or equal to five (≤5). This is
to protect the individual’s privacy under s 9(2)(a) of the Act. It is in the public interest that individuals are not
identifiable when providing information about course numbers.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about
