Dear John
Thank you for your email of 1 April 2025 requesting the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I noted, you have recently call for nomination for your Environmental Protection Authority.
May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for
public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. Also, how many applications you have received
from the public and how many you have received from other nominating agencies such as
TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you have shortlisted and how
many you have interviewed in this recruitment round. May I also seek a copy of the ad
went out to public and the appointment letter sent to the appointee, feel free to redact any
personal information.
There was no call for nominations or for the expression of interest for this appointment
process. The Minister for the Environment made the decision to reappoint an incumbent
Board member and selected a Chair and deputy Chair from within the existing Board
members.
Therefore, your request is refused under section 18(e) of the Act, as the document alleged
to contain the information requested does not exist.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Of ice of the Ombudsman of
my response relating to this request, in accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The
