OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST – RANGIORA HIGH SCHOOL –
MONKEY SURVEY TO EX-STAFF
The Ministry of Education has forwarded your request of 1 April 2016 to myself and the
Commissioner of Rangiora High School to respond to.
I answer your questions as follows:
1.
The questions asked pursuant to the survey were as follows:
a.
What were your reasons for leaving Rangiora High School?
b.
How well did the school leaders support your work?
c.
How well did your job description match your tasks or responsibilities?
d.
How well did Rangiora High School meet its obligations to be a good
employer?
e.
What things were done well at Rangiora High School?
f.
What things were not done well at Rangiora High School?
g.
How safe did you feel in your workplace?
h.
Were there any obstacles for you performing effectively in your role and, if so,
what were they?

The survey was sent to 44 ex-staff members. The survey was done on the basis that
the replies could be kept confidential, as well as their names. Therefore, I decline to
provide the list of names of the former staff members that were sent the survey
pursuant to S.9(2)(ba)(i) of the Official Information Act 1992.
3.
The survey was sent out via the Survey Monkey link. It was therefore not sent out by
the Rangiora High School or by the Commissioner's email address.
