Alberton Ave Bus Stop Relocation 
There are three part time bus stops located on the approach and the departure side of the zebra 
crossing outside #73 Alberton Avenue. When a bus is parked at the bus stop on the approach to the 
zebra crossing, the visibility of pedestrians and approaching vehicle is severely impeded.  
These part time bus stops are only operational between 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm and reverted 
to parking outside of these hours.   
This zebra crossing is heavily used during the school afternoon peak, with teachers of Mt Albert 
Grammar School patrolling the crossing point. 
Auckland Transport is undertaking investigations to remove the bus stop on the approach to the 
zebra crossing and marking a large bus stop at the departure end.
