I  refer  to  your  official  information  request  of  7  November  2016  for  the  following: 
what locations other than the Tongariro Alpine Crossing are levied at a rate of $16.00 
per person per day for guiding concessions and what criteria is used to set this rate. 
 
Please find the information requested below:  
 
The  Tongariro  Alpine  Crossing  is  currently  the  only  location  on  conservation  land 
levied at a rate of $16.00 per person per day for guiding concessions.  
 
This rate was set to reflect the Tongariro Alpine Crossing’s status as a visitor icon site. 
It has been applied to guided walking concessions at this site since 1 December 2014.
