Thank you for contacting Auckland Transport on 11 November 2016 requesting CCTV footage for a 
traffic incident that occurred outside 277 K Rd between 12.50pm and 1.15am on 1 September 2016. 
The purpose  of  the CCTV surveillance is  to  better  manage  the  road  network,  therefore  the incident 
you  have  mentioned  may  not  have  been  recorded.  Where  footage  of  a specific  incident  or  alleged 
crime  is  available,  Auckland  Transport  provides  footage  to  New  Zealand  Police  upon  receipt  of  a 
request from them. 
Notwithstanding  the  above,  we  confirm  that  footage  is  only  held  for  7  days  before  it  is  overwritten. 
Your  request  is  therefore  refused  under  Section  17{e)  of  the  LGOIMA  as  the  information  you  are 
requesting does not exist. 
Should you believe that  we  have  not  responded  appropriately to  your request,  you have the  right in 
accordance  with section  27(3)  of the  Local  Government  Official  Information  and  Meetings  Act  1987 
(LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsmen to seek an investigation and  review 
of the decision
