Thank  you  for  contacting  Auckland  Transport  on  9  and  12  of  December  2016  requesting  CCTV 
footage for 9 December 2016 between 1:00 to 1:30am with regards to a hit and run that occurred on 
the Lincoln Road off-ramp. 
Auckland Transport does not supply CCTV footage directly to members of the public due to reasons 
of  privacy.    However,  where  footage  of  a  specific  incident  or  alleged  crime  is  available,  Auckland 
Transport provides footage to New Zealand Police upon receipt of a request from them.  
Notwithstanding the above, a review of the camera shows that it was not pointing in the right direction.  
Unfortunately, we cannot assist as the incident was not captured on our camera.  Auckland Transport 
therefore refuses your request in reliance on section 17(e) of the Act as the footage requested does 
not exist. 
Should  you  believe  that  we  have  not responded  appropriately  to  your  request,  you  have  the  right in 
accordance  with  section  27(3)  of  the  Local  Government  Official  Information  and  Meetings  Act  1987 
(LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsmen to seek an investigation and review 
of the decision
