Attachment 1: Detailed Description/Breakdown, including location for 4, 5 and 6
1. Greenlane Station
Proposed improvements to access the station by reinstating a footbridge to the platform from Derry
Street and associated ramp and footpath to the other streets such as Adams and Mitchelson Street.
2. Sylvia Park Station
Proposed improvements to the station platform to address accessibility, safety and station capacity.
3. Newmarket Station access improvements (Northern Concourse)
Proposed Northern concourse entry to Newmarket station.
4. Route 31 BRT Mangere
This is a proposal for bus lanes along route 31 (in addition to existing) from Mangere town centre to
Otara, East Tamaki and on to Botany. This is to link the major southern employment and education
precincts.
For the purposes of modelling, using the Auckland Regional Transport Model, ATAP assumed bus
lanes along the full length of route 31. This is illustrated in Figure 1 below.
5 & 6. Bus Priority Measures LTP and Decade 1 of the Bus Priority Measures
Enhanced
In the ATAP Indicative package, ‘Bus Priority Measures LTP’ and ‘Decade 1 of the Bus Priority
Measures Enhanced’ were effectively combined into a single programme. This was assumed to
include bus lanes, T2 / T3 transit lanes and signal pre-emption.
For the purposes of modelling, using the Auckland Regional Transport Model, ATAP assumed bus
lanes on sections of the road, as illustrated in Figure 1 below.
