Dear Stephen Brewer
On behalf of Gabriel Makhlouf, Secretary to the Treasury, I acknowledge receipt of
your letter requesting:
“I would like to know the full details of expenditure with regards to the Upgrade to
the Parliament Executive Suite which is due to start in the next few weeks. The
details I am requesting will include all encompassing itemized information of what
is included in this upgrade such as all furniture, carpet, interior decoration,
fixtures and fittings, entertainment devices such as TV's and Screens, Audio
Equipment, Telephone systems, ICT hardware, software and or other technology,
miscellaneous items, everything that is included in the full scope of this upgrade
and their individual respective costs as well as the quoted labour costs for
carrying out the build / refit of this upgrade.
I would also like to know the costs of disposing all unwanted materials currently in
the executive suites and exactly what these items being disposed of are. If there
is any photographic record of these items for removal, I would like copies of these
please.
If there are any digitally altered photo's, CGI graphic designs, renderings, 3D
Models or otherwise of the proposed upgrade outcomes, I would like copies of
these please.
I would like this information in writing (electronically / email / word doc or PDF is
preferred so as not to waste money on postage).
If there is any information you hold on the decision process that was carried out
in order to justify this upgrade, I would like this or at least be pointed to the
department responsible for this so I can request it of them.
I would like details cost of the project that I assume was performed in order to
come to the decision to upgrade the executive suite. As I do not know what the
project was called I ask your patience with my request and for your honesty in
investigating this for me.”
Your request was received by the Treasury on 12 May 2017 and will be dealt with in
accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act.
Yours sincerely
Owen Thornber
