Thank  you  for  your  request  for  information  of  13  July  2017  for  information  relating  to 
patients admitted with certain symptoms or diagnoses. 
 
I  note  on  19  July  2017  DHB  Shared  Services  contacted  you  with  a  view  to  providing 
some clarity and context to the information you require as the scope and nature of your 
request  is  very  large  and  covers  and  extended  timeframe  (20  years).    It  would  seem 
that clarification has not yet been received. 
 
On  that  basis  Waikato  DHB  is  unable  to  provide  the  information  you  have  requested 
has been withheld under Section 18(f) of the Official Information Act 1982 because the 
information  requested  cannot  be  made  available  without  substantial  collation  or 
research 
 
However, Waikato DHB takes its obligations under the Official Information Act seriously 
and  if  you  are  able  to  provide  clarity  around  the  areas  of  your  request  detailed  by 
Shared  Services,  we  would  be  happy  to  reconsider  your  request  and  provide  such 
information as we are able to. 
 
You  have the  right to  request  the Ombudsman  investigate  and review  the  decision  to
