WAIMEA COMMUNITY DAM PROJECT
INTERESTS SCHEDULE
TASMAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
December 2017
Explanatory Note:
Elected members must make a general declaration of interests annually and as soon as practicable after becoming aware of any new interests.
These declarations are recorded in an Interests Register maintained by Council. This is available on the Tasman District Council website.
Council has recognised that, where there are significant decisions facing Elected Members, for instance, proposals that require a special
consultative procedure, it is prudent to show how interests declared in the Interests Register may potentially be affected by what is proposed.
This information is summarised in a separate Project Interests Schedule. This is not a legal requirement and is not an indication of whether
Elected Members can be involved in decision-making on that particular matter, but it does provide transparency.
The proposed ownership, funding and governance options and consequential costs allocations for the Waimea Community Dam is one such
instance where Council believes a separate Project Interests Schedule would be a useful document to sit alongside the existing information
on the project.
The Waimea Community Dam Project Interest Schedule is shown on the following pages.
