Do you have a surgeon who is capable of performing gender reassignment surgeries (i.e. genital 
reconstruction)? 
 
 
If not - are you in the process of recruiting a surgeon with such capabilities or considering the 
recruitment of such a surgeon? 
 
We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 26 February 
2018, including Waitangi Day, being 20 working days after the day your request was received. If we are unable 
to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.
