Response to your request for official information request - Ref: H20180776 
 
Thank you for your request of 19 February 2018 under the Official Information Act 1982 (the 
Act) for:  
 
1.  Any Briefings to the Incoming Minister you have received relating to your responsibility 
for sexual health. 
2.  Any other advice you have received relating to services for transgender and intersex 
people. 
 
In response to Part 1 of your request, I have not received any Briefings to the Incoming 
Minister relating to my responsibility for sexual health.  
 
In response to Part 2 of your request, I have identified one document in scope. This 
document, ‘Potential priorities for Rainbow policy’ is an initial briefing regarding health and 
wellbeing issues for Rainbow people. 
 
I understand that the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) has withheld this document in response 
to a previous request you made on 15 February 2018.  
 
As mentioned in the Ministry’s original response letter to you, this briefing is being withheld 
under section 9(2)(f)(iv) of the Act, so as to protect the confidentiality of advice that is 
currently under active consideration.  
 
You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to review my 
decision to withhold information under this request.
