Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 12 March 2018 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
“There was an accident at the intersection of Straven Road and Fendalton Road on Friday evening 
9/03/2018 at approximately 8:30pm. 
 
Are you able to make the traffic camera footage of this event available?” 
 
I am of the opinion the information to which your request relates is more closely connected to the New 
Zealand Police than with the NZ Transport Agency. Accordingly, pursuant to section 14 of the act, I 
have transferred your request to the NZ Police for action. 
 
You will, therefore, receive further correspondence on your request from NZ Police. The time limit for 
their response to you will be 20 working days from 14 March 2018, so you can expect a response from 
them on or before 13 April 2018.
