[FYI request #9467 email]
Dear Hugh
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 29 January 2019. You requested the following information about
the intersection on Willis Street and Chews Lane:
•
The length of the intersection between the traffic poles.
•
The length of time after the orange/amber light comes on until the red light comes on - Note
if this has multiple times during the day, a list of all the times should be provided.
•
The length of time after the red light comes on until the green light for the pedestrians.
I have answered each of your points in turn below.
The length of the intersection
The length of the intersection from the north bound vehicle limit line to the northern most
pedestrian walk is 12.5 metres.
The length of the intersection from the south bound vehicle limit line to the southernmost
pedestrian walk line is 10 metres.
The length of time for the amber/orange light
The length of time for the amber/orange light traffic signal is displayed for 3 seconds. The time
setting for the amber/orange light is throughout the whole day and does not change.
The length of time for the red light
The length of time for the red light traffic signal is displayed for 1.5 seconds before the green
pedestrian signal is activated.
Thank you again for this request and please let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Ana Nicholls
