Request for information 2019-043 
I refer to your request for information dated 12 February 2019 which was received by Greater 
Wellington Regional Council on 12 February 2019. You have requested the following information: 
“Can I please have copies of all emails, text messages and instant messages sent or received 
by the Chief Executive and/or the General Manager, Public Transport Group regarding the 
new Wellington bus network? 
To make this request manageable, I limit the scope to: 
- Between the dates of 16/7/2018 to 30/7/2018 
- Only to/from GWRC staff and councillors.” 
It is necessary for Greater Wellington Regional Council to extend the time available to it to answer 
your request to 24 April 2019.  This decision is made pursuant to section 14 of the Local 
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the Act) on the basis that consultations 
necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response to your request cannot 
be reasonably made within the original 20 working day time limit. 
You have the right, under section 27(3) of the Act, to make a complaint about this extension to the 
Ombudsman.
