Thank you for your email dated 10 April 2019 requesting the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982:

Have you done any research in NZ on the negative health impacts on humans
from the roll-out of 5G telecommunications technology? Have you studied
and carefully considered the latest overseas research on the dangers to
public health from 5G electromagnetic radiation and microwave effects of
this technology?
Are you aware that the proposed 5G EMF is 100 times greater than current
electromagnetic frequencies?  Did you know that the carcinogenic microwave
EMFs are significant factors in cancer and DNA damage?
Are you aware that the new cell phone antennas will be erected on every
street corner and that the frequencies penetrate every substance eg.
concrete, glass, etc?? and human bodies with no way of escaping them? In
addition, it is proposed that 20,000 space satellite EMF transmitters will
ensure everywhere on earth is radiated-do you think that this is
acceptable?

Do you have the research from authoritative scientists and politicians who
are warning the public and governments of this threat? Shall I provide you
with the links for this information? There are further negative outcomes
of 5G which must be addressed and can be provided to you upon request.
This has not been adequately tested and the dangers have not been revealed
to the public. It is the responsibility of Ministry of Health to pursue
the issues relating to public health.
Are you providing info. on the dangers of 5G to the NZ public and
Politicians?

I hereby request that the Ministry of Health call for the Precautionary
Principle to be adopted to allow time for the scientific research and
public consultation process to be done in advance of the proposed 2020
roll-out of 5G electromagnetic technology to be imposed on the population
of NZ who will suffer the consequences.

The Ministry's reference number for your request is: H201902439.

As required under the Act we will endeavour to respond to your request no
later than 13 May 2019, being 20 working days after the day your request
was received.  

If we are unable to respond to your request within this time frame, we
will notify you of an extension of that time frame.
