Thank you for your email of 11 June 2019 confirming eligibility for your Official Information Act request as follows:

"Can you please provide me the following details.

1) How will the funds be transferred to the license holder who is surrendering a prohibited firearm for destruction under the buy back scheme.

2) How were these funds determined to be fair and reasonable.

3) How did KPMG determine what was fair and reasonable compensation.

4) What was the total cost of the buy back scheme as calculated by KPMG.

5) How long will the buy back scheme be in place.

6) what is the expected level of compliance. Please answer as a percentage of the total estimated amount of prohibited firearms.

7) what is the total estimated amount of prohibited firearms in New Zealand.

8) how will the surrendered firearms be destroyed."
