Kia Ora,
Thank you for contacting Hon Grant Robertson, the Minister of Finance,
Minister Responsible for the Earthquake Commission, Minister for Sport and
Recreation, Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage and MP for
Wellington Central. The Minister considers all correspondence important
and appreciates you taking the time to write. Please note that as Minister
Robertson receives a large amount of correspondence it is not always
possible to personally reply to all emails.
The following guidelines apply:
Invitations and requests to meet with the Minister will be processed as
soon as possible and a staff member will be in contact with you in due
course
All media queries will be responded to by a staff member.
Requests for official information will be managed in accordance with the
provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, which may include
transfer to a more relevant Minister or agency.
If your email falls outside of the Minister’s portfolio responsibilities,
expresses a personal view, or is copied to multiple Members of Parliament,
then your opinion will be noted and your correspondence may be transferred
to another office, or there may be no further response to you.
If your correspondence is to the Minister as the Member of Parliament for
Wellington Central, this will be referred to his electorate office.

constituency matters). For each meeting in scope, the summary would list:
date, time (start and finish), brief description, location, who the
meeting was with, and the portfolio. If you attend a meeting with the
Minister on behalf of an organisation, the name of the organisation will
be released. If you are a senior staff member at an organisation, or meet
with the Minister in your personal capacity, your name may also be
released. The location of the meeting will be released, unless it is a
private residence. The proactive release will be consistent with the
provisions in the Official Information Act, including privacy

Dear Joss J,
I refer to your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), dated 2 July 2019 for the following information :
1. Please supply the Memorandum of Understanding between the Minister and Nga Taonga dated 1 July 2019-. Please also include any schedules, appendices etc.
2. Please supply the 2019/20 Letter of Expectations from the Minister to Nga Taonga - and the archive's reply (if received).
3. Please supply any briefings that the Minister has received relating to Nga Taonga from 21 November 2018 onwards.
4. Please supply any reports that the Minister has received relating to Nga Taonga from 21 November 2018 onwards.
The OIA requires that you are advised of the Minister's decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and I am therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision.
This extension is necessary because consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
This extension has been made under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA. You can expect to receive a response to your request by 20 August 2019.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or free phone 0800 802 602.
Kind regards,
Kristen
