This is a request under the OIA Act.
Immigration is an important issues of New Zealand. I would like to know are there any advisory group (with public participation and stakeholder participation) been set up by you as a Minister or by the government to discuss immigration issues or immigration policy changes or immigration strategy planning?
If there is none, may I request you as a Minister of Immigration to consider set up something like that?

We acknowledge receipt of your official information request dated 10 Sept 2019 for,
Immigration is an important issues of New Zealand. I would like to know are there any advisory group (with public participation and stakeholder participation) been set up by you as a Minister or by the government to discuss immigration issues or immigration policy changes or immigration strategy planning?
If there is none, may I request you as a Minister of Immigration to consider set up something like that?
We received your request on 10 Sept 2019. We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than being 20 working days after the day your request was received.
If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.
If your OIA request requires full or part transfer, we will contact you within the required timeframe.
