REQUEST UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL INFORMATION AND MEETINGS
ACT 1987
This letter is with regard to the s10 LGOIMA request received by Hawke’s Bay Regional Council
(the Council) on Friday 20 September 2013.
1. Correspondence between the council and the Department of Conservation about this
scheme.
2. Correspondence between the council and the Minister of Conservation about this scheme.
3. Correspondence between the council and the Ministry for Primary Industries about this
scheme.
4. Correspondence between the council and the Minister for Primary Industries about this
scheme.
This is a request for a large amount of information that would require a significant number of staff
hours to identify and collate the information.
In accordance with s13 (1)(a) the Council intends to provide the information as above.
I would therefore like to provide a range of costs in accordance with s13(1A) of the Act. The
attached table outlines the likely range of costs to provide the requested information as between
$925.77 and $1260.28.
The Council wishes to invoke s13(4) of the Act requiring whole or part of any charge to be paid in
advance. As such the Council requires part payment of $740.00 (calculated as 80% of the most
conservative cost range figure) to be paid in advance. Please make this payment by way of
cheque no later than Friday 4 October 2013. The Council will initiate works on the information
request once payment is received. Please find attached a Public Enquiry Charge Form for
completion and return noting that the free time of one hour has been deducted from the range
enclosed.
Please note that Council reserves the right to extend timeframes further should this payment not
be made by the due date.
