OIA/LGOIMA Act Request
john luke made this Official Information request to Auckland Conservation Board
The request was successful.
From: john luke
Dear Auckland Conservation Board and Joanne,
Based on my previous request,
https://fyi.org.nz/request/11179-aucklan...
I was unable to attend the board meeting in person and I have requested my request been table and discuss at that meeting. May I ask you to supply me with the discussion/response from the Board during the meeting with regards to my request?
Also, for transparency and public monitoring of tax payer's money, I would like to request the money spent by the Chair Lyn Mayes on the Board business since she has been appointed to the Board.
I noted on the agenda
https://ftp.doc.govt.nz/public/folder/V9...
"Lyn Mayes noted that in the past the Board has had two deputy chairs and currently the Board only
have one. With Nathan Kennedy’s current position about not participating in Board business, Lyn
would like to seek nominations for a second Deputy Chair."
May I request what is Nathan Kennedy’s current position about not participating in Board business? Any communication between the board and Nathan? If he is not actively
participating in Board's business, has there been any discussion around remove him as a deputy chair given there is an "Expectations of conservation board members and code of conduct" required board member to actively participate in the board's business.
Further, I noted on the agenda, Agenda Item: 25
Compare to the previous years, there is a huge increase in the proposed meetings. May I ask what is board position in reduce carbon footprint and any steps that has taken when consider dates and venues for meetings?
I noted on the agenda, Auckland CMS Implementation Monitoring Report - November 2019
There are lots of items are "Unlikely to achieve in time", may I ask what is the reason for unlikely to achieve in time and has the Board taken any steps to advocate that?
Yours faithfully,
john luke

Auckland Conservation Board
Hi John Luke -
Lyn Mayes, the Chair of the Auckland Conservation Board, has asked me to clarify one aspect of your request for official information. Part of my role is to support the Conservation Board with its business.
In your most recent request below, you sought the following:
" Also, for transparency and public monitoring of tax payer's money, I would like to request the money spent by the Chair Lyn Mayes on the Board business since she has been appointed to the Board."
Can you please clarify if you are seeking information about all Conservation Board expenditure over this period of time, or if you are seeking information about the fees that Lyn Mayes has been paid during her time as Chair of the Board.
If it is the former, can you then please clarify if you are seeking information only about operational expenditure by the Conservation Board over this period, or if it includes fees paid to members during that period.
Regards -

Dear John Galilee,
My request is to seek the Chair's expenditure rather than all board members. e.g. her travel cost, meeting fees, event attendance fees etc.
Yours sincerely,
john luke
