Dear Carmel Sepuloni,
The DSW website (https://www.msd.govt.nz/what-we-can-do/s...) refers Veterans to look at Veterans Pension on their website to look for all information on the Work and Income website which refers veterans pension to the Veterans Affairs website for information.
1. Can you please provide a link to the Veterans Pension page https://www.veteransaffairs.mil.nz/ which shows the information regarding when a veterans is travelling overseas and the penalties for not advising them of such?
2. Please provide a copy of any documents, policies or legislation which authorizes the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) and or WINZ and/or Veterans Affairs to stop payments of a Veterans Pension at any time?
3. Please provide information regarding why the DSW, WINZ or the does not advise Pensioners travelling overseas of their rights and any likely penalties?
4. Please provide a copy of the review as requested to International Services for Mr Graham Bruce Carter regarding the suspension of his Veterans Pension.
